Have you ever tried to write a book with a yabbering budgie sitting on your head? And of course being (not so) young and male, he thinks he knows everything… Cheeky's hyperactivity has resulted in him undergoing therapy in an attempt to slow him down.

Unfortunately the therapist failed miserably in this and is now herself undergoing counselling. We appointed Cheeky the company's PR director because of his way with people.

Whenever visitors come, he immediately turns on the charm, captivating them by doing and saying cute things. Cheeky is ambitious. He's already indicated he wants a career in politics, a vocation for which we feel he's admirably suited.

After all, he never shuts up, is wilful and domineering, never listens to anyone else's point of view and makes long speeches consisting mainly of gibberish interspersed with the occasional meaningful word!

Vale Cheeky who died aged 8 and a half years of age early on Sunday 11 May 2008. He will be missed by all who knew him with the exception of Jan Andrews [:)]. He joins his predecessors in our garden.

The house is sadly silent, something lively is missing. We won't forget you.
