North American B-24 Diamond Lil on display on AeroShell Square. I stood there for 10 minutes to take this! Boeing B-17 Sentimental Journey also on AeroShell Square. It was difficult to get photos clear of people here.
Boeing B-17 doing one of its constant passenger flights. It is nice to have the opportunity to fly in these aircraft. Boeing B-17 during a flying display, something we don't have in the southern hemisphere's growing warbird fleet.
North American B-25 during one of its many display flights. Lycoming's stand which included a shop and training centre.
Gippsland Aerospace stand on the main walkway into the show. A constant stream of interested people came by. Ginger Harris and me with the Gippsland Airvan on its main street stand. Picture kindly taken by a passer-by.
Bose had a huge presence here. It provided all the sound equipment for speeches on the site. US Flying magazine's massive stand where they sold books, magazines, t-shirts and so much more.
GlobalFlyer seems so fragile yet it already holds the world record for the longest continuous flight. Why don't governments sponsor more private enterprise efforts? Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer will be making a much longer flight next year, 1.5 times around the world if Steve Fossett can work out how to get some sleep!
You cannot see this aircraft until it is very close to you. GlobalFlyer about to land at Oshkosh on Friday afternoon.
